Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence
Is an ancient Christian Carol based on Habakkuk 2:20. It originally formed part of the early Armenian church's liturgy and predates a 275AD!
The melody, french mediaeval tune ‘Picardy’ is paired with a 19th century English Translation by Gerald Moultrie.
Artists
These classical guitar & string quartet versions are instrumentals you can use as a backing track for a service, as incidental music before a service / livestream pre-roll, or listen at home while you decorate the tree! The string quartet version plays a set of interweaving countermelodies (reflecting the lyrics) - so its better for singing over than as background.
Purpose
The song can be sung as part of advent and Christmas services, and was originally used as part of Easter liturgies.

Incarnation, Christmas, Easter, Heaven, Heavenly Host, Cherubim.
